WEEKEND & VIAGGI: cultural-historical feature Land of Goethe, Luther and Bach
Paul Smit adapted his text to the wishes of Italian magazine Weekend & Viaggi: they wanted it to concentrate purely on cultural history. The Land of Goethe, Luther and Bach - that is Saxonia and Thuringia in southeastern Germany. The story visits hotspots like Weimar, Erfurt, Dresden and Leipzig and crosses the footsteps of Goethe on every streetcorner. It listens to organs that have been played by Bach himself and tells about the tiny room where Luther translated the Bible in German while being a refugee.
