'Copa Kagrana.'

Nowadays young Viennese go crazy in the new entertainment district at the Donau-Insel, the Island in the Danube, part of the Kagran quarter. It's better known under the nickname Copa Kagrana, because in summer it's hot the Brasilian way here. The style of the bars along the water as well as the taste of the cocktails have something tropical, the rest of the architecture is colourful and modern. It's the end of the days that Vienna turned its back towards the Danube. Photo Paul Smit.

'Floral fragrances.'

In June broom is the dominant vegetation above Menton. Its flowers are four times as large as the broom I am familiar with. The smell is bigger than life too: as if a thousand honey pots have been left open. This photo is taken in the Borrigo valley north of Sainte Agnès. Photo Paul Smit.
Smit & Palarczyk > [SWITZER.TICINO 01341] 'Holiday friends.' Holiday friends at the Maggia , a favorite river for waterside fun. Photo Paul Smit.
Smit & Palarczyk > [ITALY.LOMBARD 01791] 'Nostalgia.' Going back down from the Sasso del Ferro above Laveno in a funny bin from the seventees. It is the only panorama mountain where you can see the snow capped Monte Rosa rise behind the Lago Maggiore. Photo Paul Smit.
Smit & Palarczyk > [AUSTRIA.VORARL 00905] 'Rolls Royce museum.' The largest Rolls Royce museum is in Austria, Dornbirn - not in England. Owner Franz Vonier shows the Rolls of the Queen Mum, among many celebrities, and tells tasty stories about cars and owners. Photo Paul Smit.
