’Cubism in the Gorges de Daluis.’

Having a refreshing break during a river walk in the Gorges de Daluis (Alpes-Maritimes, France). This canyon, one of the most spectacular in France, is easily accessible if you accept wet feet; the water doesn't get deeper then 30 cm. Photo Paul Smit.

'Copa Kagrana.'

Nowadays young Viennese go crazy in the new entertainment district at the Donau-Insel, the Island in the Danube, part of the Kagran quarter. It's better known under the nickname Copa Kagrana, because in summer it's hot the Brasilian way here. The style of the bars along the water as well as the taste of the cocktails have something tropical, the rest of the architecture is colourful and modern. It's the end of the days that Vienna turned its back towards the Danube. Photo Paul Smit.

'Bavarian drinking beer.'

Typical Bavaria: drinking a Mass of beer. Passau, where the photo is taken, has a southern spirit with its street cafés and its river front promenades along the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz. Photo Paul Smit.

'Grapes on our trail.'

Are we saving France’s most noble fruit from decay or stealing from someone’s garden? Photo Paul Smit.
Smit & Palarczyk > [ITALY.PIEMONTE 01717] 'The villa, Isola Madre.' Isola Madre in Lago Maggiore is an 'English' style garden, but very exotical. Even its villa is covered with flowers. Photo Paul Smit.
