Smit & Palarczyk > [ANTILLES.SABA 25.527] ’Tree ferns’. Tree ferns in the cloud forest on the top of Mt. Scenery give the impression of an ancient Carboniferous wood. Photo Mick Palarczyk.
Smit & Palarczyk > [ANTILLES.SABA 25.533] ’Hanging garden’. The branches of a Mountain mahogany (Freziera undulata) in Saba’s cloud forest are laden with mosses, liverworts, ferns, bromeliads and orchids. These species owe their abundant growth to the moisture in the clouds which cling almost constantly to the top of Mt. Scenery. Photo Mick Palarczyk.
