[GERMANY.THUERINGEN 30425] The village of Troistedt is imbedded in coleseed covered hills southwest of Weimar. Its most striking feature is the tower of the village church of St. Jakobus der Ältere. It was painted by the artist Lyonel Feininger, who in the period between 1906 and 1937 used many churches and villages around Weimar as a motif for his work. Photo Mick Palarczyk.
