’Tapping water on Patan's Durbar Square.’

In the early morning citizens tap water at Manga Hiti, a sunken well and watertank at the northern end of Patan's Durbar Square. The stairs to the tank are flanked by two pavilions, the right one of which houses a royal throne (see picture 27323). Behind the pavilions rises the Bishwanath Temple (dedicated to Shiva).
