The second of six scenes from the life of St. Sebastian in the St. Sebastian chapel of Roure, a village 45 km north of Nice, shows the Roman Emperor Diocletian. The fresco was executed in 1510 by Andrea de Cella, one of the so-called 'peintres primitifs niçois' (primitive painters of Nice). Photo Mick Palarczyk.
