	The fourth of six scenes from the life of St. Bernard (923- 1008) in the St. Sebastian chapel of Roure, a village 45 km north of Nice, shows Bernard praying in front of an image of St. Mary. The fresco was executed in 1510 by Andrea de Cella, one of the so-called 'peintres primitifs niçois' (primitive painters of Nice). Photo Mick Palarczyk.
