’God in Majesty.’

The ceiling of the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs at La Tour shows God in Majesty surrounded by a mandorla. He is holding a sphere, topped by a cross, symbolizing the power of christianity spreading throughout the world.
The fresco was executed in 1492 by Currand Bravesi and Guirard Nadal, two of the so-called 'peintres primitifs niçois' (primitive painters of Nice).
