'Salón de Embajadores, Alcázar, Sevilla.'
The Salón de Embajadores (Hall of the Ambassadors) in the Alcázar palace in Sevilla. The most spectacular part of the Alcázar de Palacio de Don Pedro, where the hall can be found, was constructed between 1364 and 1366 for the Christian king Pedro I in Mudéjar style by Moorish architects and artisans from Granada, helped by Mudéjar builders from Toledo and Córdoba. Here the marriage between Charles V and Isabella of Portugal took place in 1526. Photo Paul Smit.
